Coconut fibres and products commonly known as coir products is made up of the outside layer that surrounds the shell of the coconut. It consists mainly of fibers and between these fibers’ is the corky substance called coir pith or peats.    The fibres and peats once extracted are separated during the processing phase. Both coconut fibres and coco peats  extracted from husk are used for different purposes.

Fibres are traditionally  used to manufacture rope, carpets, doormats, upholstery stuffing, brushes etc.  Coco peat is widely used as   organic growing medium for many varietiesof  fruits & vegetables. Coir pith is 100% organic and natural growing medium.  Coir pith is also used as  fuel for boilers & other  combustible purposes.

Extraction of Fibres & Coco Pith

Coconut Fibres

Coconut fibres are obtained after the process of defibring and separation of bristle coir. Fibres are of mixture of varying length between 3” to 8” (approximately 7 to 20 cm)

Required lengths of the fibres are carefully selected using an automatic separation machine for the desired applications. These fibres are used for a wide range of applications like manufacture of coir ropes, mats and matting, geo textiles, composite pots, mattresses and furnishings, interior decors etc.

Two-ply Yarn

Coir Yarn is made from Coconut fibres. Coconut fibres are carefully selected using automated machine for required lengths

The right length of fibres ensures that the yarn produced is of good strength. Coir Yarn is used in making mats and matting. Other applications of yarn are in agricultural activities, construction activities, packaging, and geo textiles to prevent soil erosion on embankments.

Curled Rope

Curled rope is manufactured by using sophisticated machine which consists of Hackling, Curling & Winding devices.

Curled ropes are prepared from the matured cleaned fibres. It is used to make coir mattress, coir cushions, rubberized coir pads, carpet underlay, seat cushions, etc.

Coco Pith/ Peats

Coir pith is collected during the process of coir fibre extraction from coconut husk.

Coconut peats have a superior ability to hold water, is porous, making it airy. This makes it useful both for growing in hydroponics, Potting and out in the garden. Coconut peats are buffered at our facility and the naturally present salts in the coconut fibre is rinsed thoroughly with fresh water and the finished product contains no salts such as sodium and potassium. Coir pith contains high quality of nutrients that keep the soil healthy in a natural way. It acts as a top dressing that helps maintain moisture and reconditions the soil.

Coco peats are used for manufacturing coco blocks which is used as a growing medium for plants. Coco peats mixed with fibres are also used as animal beds. We supply loose coco peats for domestic market in India.
